Dancing Into The New Year!

☆ Long Sleeve Tee - American Apparel ☆ Denim Vest - Melrose Trading Post ☆ Braided Belt - Vietnam Boutique ☆ Lace Dress - Gap ☆ Black Tights - Hue ☆ Ankle Boots - Dolce Vita

Happy New Year! I can't believe that it's going to be 2013! Wow! This festive outfit brings out the joy in people, well at least it brings out the joy in me! It's getting semi-cold here in Los Angeles so I used some classic layering techniques and layered a dress over my long sleeve shirt and a denim vest over my dress! Once again, happy new year everyone! xox

Leopard Lovin'

☆ Leopard Blouse - H&M ☆ Jeans - Abercrombie Kids ☆ Boots - Steve Madden ☆

Whenever I am confused with what to wear, I just have a couple of go to outfits that I can pull out of my closet and throw on! This is one of those outfits. You can never go wrong with a blouse and jeans. My leopard print blouse is sheer, printed, and functional. And I matched it with a good old pair of blue jeans and boots.

Easy Breezy

☆ Sweater - Brandy Melville ☆ Skirt - Brandy Melville ☆ Knee Socks - Topshop ☆ Boots - Fiorentini and Baker ☆

I don't know about you, but when there is a warm day, in winter, I break out something that reminds me that Spring is coming! Brandy Melville sweaters are by far the coziest pieces of clothing that I own. They make me want to curl up on a beanbag with a blanket, some hot chocolate, and an abundance of the Mindy Project. Sounds like the perfect day to me! Anyway, this plum sweater looks great with gray and blue-gray. I happen to have a versatile blue-gray flouncy skirt, also from Brandy Melville, so I paired them together! This look is a step up from a traditional schoolgirl and is great for school or a day/night on the town!

Orange Crush

☆ White T-Shirt - Echo Park ☆ Grey Cardigan - Wallace ☆ Orange Corduroy's - H&M ☆ Boots - Aldo ☆

If you can't tell by now, I just love color. I mean, who doesn't? In almost every outfit that I wear, I try to have at least one colorful component, whether it be something as small as my hair-tie or as major as my pants!  White t-shirts have always been a staple for everyone, and for me, it's been hard to find the perfect white tee! I finally found this one and I would say it is my most worn piece of clothing!! This cozy, neutral cardigan ties everything together. This is the perfect everyday casual outfit!

Winter in California

☆ Pom Pom Scarf - Brandy Melville ☆ Dress Shirt - J+ Uniqlo ☆ Tuxedo Jacket - Stella McCartney for Gapkids ☆ Corduroy's - Abercrombie Kids ☆ Headband - DIY ☆ Ankle Boots - Dolce Vita ☆

It's already winter and festive clothing has just come into season. I love an old fashioned tuxedo jacket for festive wear, and to add a little spritz of playfulness, I threw on this wondrous pom-pom scarf. It's literally the warmest scarf that anyone can ever come across and it is so fashionable too! I paired the scarf and jacket with my ever so versatile corduroy's, a basic white dress shirt, and my favorite ankle boots.

Pink Matter

☆ Sweater - Zara Kids ☆ Corduroy's - BDG ☆ Leopard Socks - H&M ☆ Loafers - Gucci (Mom's Closet) ☆

Who says you can't wear brights in winter? If you have not yet listened to Frank Ocean, you definitely should, because he is a very inspiring song writer! I was listening to his new song Pink Matter, and I just loved the song and the title, so I decided that I had to do a blog post on Pink Matter. And, here it is. I knew that I wanted to incorporate pink into my outfit, but I also had to incorporate some neutrals, because we are in December already! These corduroys are kind of amazing, they go with so many different tones and colors. A chunky knit sweater is a must have for winter. I stole the loafers from my mom's closet and decided to play it funky and wear my favorite leopard print socks!

Shades of Blue

☆ Jacket - Zara ☆ Dress Shirt - Crewcuts ☆ Ripped Jeans - Hudson Jeans ☆ Ankle Booties - Dolce Vita ☆

This post thanksgiving outfit is a casual look for fall that can also be spruced up for going out at night. The jacket has always been one of my favorites. I love the gold detailing on it, because it creates a more interesting vibe rather than just a navy jacket. The style is form fitting at the waist, but then it flares out. I paired it with ripped jeans, a collared shirt, and black suede ankle boots to spice it up a bit.

Seeing Navy

☆ Raglan Tee - Sports Authority ☆ Miniskirt - H&M ☆
Tights - Bloomingdales (Hand Ripped) ☆ Boots - Steve Madden ☆

Navy is one of my favorite colors. Let me correct myself, it is my favorite color. It is so versatile and it has a rich and gorgeous tone to it. I wear navy at least thrice a week, I just can't get enough. This shirt is a simple shirt that I picked up at Sports Authority when my brother was getting one of his sporting accessories. Of course, I had to get it in navy! This skirt is amazing. It can go casual or fancy! I love this outfit and I think next time I'll spice it up with some chunky, pink beads or a wrist full of boho bracelets. Happy Thanksgiving!

The transition from fall to winter is the perfect time to break out the army prints and cozy clothes. This fall, camouflage has been a huge hit. I'm into the camo pants. I think that they look great with any simple, nude colors!

☼Happy Socks☼

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted some vibrant, striped, socks. I was very curious of course, so I wandered over to the wooden table where they were displayed, and I contemplated for a second. Of course I was not contemplating whether to get the socks or not, there was a definite answer to that, the question was, whether to get the knee high socks, or the ankle socks. I mean, who wouldn't want a pair of colorful, stripy socks? So, I stood there for a minute, and I thought. I finally realized, I might as well get the knee highs! You can wear them so that they are visible, or you can roll them down. So, I purchased my pair of knee high's and I gladly walked out of the store grasping on to the twine handles of the navy bag which enveloped MY new socks. They were mine now! The question is, what to wear them with?! I think I will chose my usual basic outfit; jean shorts, a white tee, and converse.

☆sparkle☆

Base Color: O.P.I-Samoan Sand, Moon Color: Essie-Set in Stones

This weekend, my friends and I went to get our nails done. I decided to go all out and show the person that was painting my nails a picture of Khloe Kardashian's half moon nails. She had nude as a base color and baby pink as the moon color. Turns out, in the moment, I decided to make the "moon" color silver, and I like it even better than the baby pink! Instead of half moons, I got small spiked "mountains" at the edge of my nail and I love them. It could not have been a better experience for me, and now I am going to ask for this style again. ;)

Floral Blazer

Kimchi Blue Blazer ☆ Bullhead Jeans ☆ H&M Tank ☆ Borrowed Shoes

This floral blazer is just too great. It is from the brand Kimchi Blue and the colors in it are so deep and rich, I just love it. The fact that it is a bit oversized is also a reason why I love it. That's why I paired it with skinny and dark jeans. Skinny jeans because the blazer is big and dark because the blazer is also dark. The shoes are actually a friend's, who kindly let me borrow them!

Maroon Leather

Abercrombie Jeans ☆ Aviator Nation Tank ☆ H&M Leather Jacket ☆ White Converse

If you don't already know, maroon is the new black for this fall and winter. It is versatile and it looks phenomenal with gray, black, and beige. I was recently window shopping on the third street promenade and in the window of H&M, I spotted a pinkish-maroon leather jack. I have a bit of a fetish for leather jackets, so when I saw this leather jacket, I jumped at the chance and bought it. I was looking for things in my closet to pair it with, and I decided while normal jeans would look great with it, red jeans would look even better. Red is in the same family as maroon, so in my personal opinion red jeans look great with the jacket!
